How to Prepare for a New Month
When the first of the month comes to mind I hope you’re not only thinking about bills to pay. Yes, you need to pay them but the first of the month is a new start!
A reset button from anything previously or a continuation of something great. Whenever a new month comes around I am always trying to think about how I can be a better person than I was last month.
Any changes I want to be made mentally, physically, or even financially I take a mental note of and then do my research on the best ways to complete them.
Here are some ways you can prepare for a new month!
Prepare a maintenance to do list: Can you think of anything that needs to be worked on or redone? Maybe with your car, house, or business? Create a to-do list! You don’t have to get everything done in one weekend but little by little during the month you can cross things off of your list.
Swap out clothing for the new season: One of my favorite things to do to prepare for the new season is to clean out my closet. I go through my clothing and shoes to start a donation bag so I can drop it off at a local donation bin. *Tip* - As you’re going through your clothing take note of what you don’t have so you can get some new pieces.
Manifest changes you would like to see happen: At the end of last year I created a mood board of things I would like to see happen within my life. This mood board consisted of a few inspirational photos all together in a collage. Underneath the collage I wrote out my desires to affirm and manifest it. I’ve heard that nothing is real until you write it down. I felt that I was struggling to fully complete my goals the way I wanted to, so I thought to give it a try. IT WORKS! Plan something to look forward to: Life can’t be all about work, saving money, and fixing things within your life. It’s about living as well! Book that trip! Tell your friends you want to try out that new restaurant next week! Do something different for your birthday this year! Planning something to look forward to will boost your mood and you’ll be focused on preparing for the upcoming fun. I am a planner at heart and love having the opportunity to get all of my friends and family together. Try it out and see what happens!
