Accountability, we love to see it!
When someone does something wrong, to the point where you’ve reach your limit and have to cut them off, at what percentage do you blame yourself?
Now you may be thinking like well I’ve done nothing wrong. Which may be the case but are you sure there was nothing you could have done more or less of?
I ask this because when it is so obvious someone has done something wrong to us, we rarely consider how we could have played a different part.
Accountability is key in situations like this.
If a person can show you time after time that they are unable to do right by you, it was you who chose to stay and watch. We cannot go through life blaming other people for unfortunate events happening to us.
Maybe you should have removed yourself from the situation or listened to your gut or maybe even spoken up for yourself.
Remember that things can only keep happening to you if you allow it. Sometimes you may not even realize what you are allowing.
When you do, you have the power to choose what works best for you.
That’s the moment you take accountability of your actions!
